We're thrilled to announce the release of Alpha 0.6, featuring our most comprehensive combat system overhaul to date!

What's New

Combat Formula Rework

  • **Damage Calculation**: Base + (STR × 1.5) + Weapon Power
  • **Critical Hits**: 5% base + (DEX × 0.3%) chance
  • **Dodge Mechanics**: 0.2s window + (DEX × 0.005s), capped at 0.5s
  • **Armor Penetration**: Logarithmic scaling prevents one-shot builds
  • Hit Detection Improvements

    We've completely rebuilt the hit detection system from the ground up. Hits now register more accurately, with better lag compensation for multiplayer sessions. This means your attacks will feel more responsive and fair, especially in PvP encounters.

    Boss Mechanics

    All existing bosses have been rebalanced to work with the new combat formulas. Expect more challenging but fair encounters that reward skill and build optimization.

    Balance Changes

    Strength (STR)

  • Now provides 1.5x damage scaling (up from 1.2x)
  • Affects weapon damage more predictably
  • Soft cap at 50 points for PvP balance
  • Dexterity (DEX)

  • Critical chance scaling improved
  • Dodge window feels more responsive
  • Attack speed bonus added at 30+ DEX
  • Constitution (CON)

  • HP per point increased from 10 to 12
  • Stamina regeneration bonus at 25+ CON

    This update incorporates feedback from over 200 alpha testers. Special thanks to everyone who participated in our combat testing sessions and provided detailed feedback on the forums.

    What's Next

    We'll be monitoring gameplay data closely over the next two weeks. Expect hotfixes if any major balance issues emerge. Our focus now shifts to content creation for Alpha 0.7, which will introduce the Frosted Wastes region.
